# Luca

> Luca is a personal money agent that works by text message. Members text LUCA, add Luca to their email with a forwarding filter (Gmail members connect with one tap, read-only), and reply YES. Luca then negotiates their bills, recovers refunds and cashback, and sells items they no longer use. It costs $19 a month with no success fee, and members don't pay unless Luca saves them at least $19.

## What Luca does

- Save: lowers the price of a member's existing auto insurance policy through a rate review and discount check (with a reminder 30 to 45 days before renewal); negotiates medical bills (itemized bill, duplicate and error removal, financial assistance, prompt-pay discount); asks internet, TV and phone providers for their best rate on the same service; cancels unused subscriptions and requests refunds.
- Earn: lists unused items for local sale and books the meetup (the buyer pays the seller in person and the seller keeps 100%; $15 listing fee, free for paying members); claims cashback and rebates.
- Recover: bank fee reversals (overdraft, returned item, maintenance), cash refunds for cancelled or significantly changed flights, FSA and HSA money before it's forfeited, searches for unclaimed money held by states, price-drop refunds.
- Luca does not sell insurance, quote new policies or change coverage. It negotiates the price of accounts the member already has.

2. Add Luca to your email: Set up a filter once that forwards only your bills to Luca, so we never see the rest of your inbox. On Gmail you can connect in one tap instead, and we'll also check your last 90 days.
3. Reply YES: See what we found and how sure we are. Say yes and we take it from there.

## Pricing

- $19 per month, flat. No success fee and no percentage of savings.
- No charge until Luca has verified at least $19 in savings for the member.
- Referral: a friend gets $19 in credit; the referrer gets $19 when the friend first saves and another $19 when the friend passes $100 in savings.
- Savings Circles: households of 2 to 6 people; once two members join, each gets $10 off that same month (a one-time credit, not monthly), and everyone gets a free month when the circle saves $5,000 together.

## Privacy and control

- For medical bills, the member signs a HIPAA authorization naming Luca so the billing office can discuss the account. It can be revoked anytime by texting REVOKE.

- Luca keeps only bills, renewals and receipts, and never asks for an email password. Gmail access is read-only and can be disconnected anytime.
- Every email Luca sends to a provider copies the member.
- Text LOG to see recent actions, DELETE to erase all data, STOP to stop messages.

## FAQ

- Are you allowed to talk to my insurer or hospital? Yes. When you reply YES, you authorize us to contact the provider as your representative about the price of your existing account. If a billing office asks for a signed form, we send it to you.
- What if you don't find a saving? You don't pay. Your plan starts only after we've saved you at least $19.
- Will you switch my insurance or change my coverage? No. We negotiate the price of the policy you already have. Coverage decisions stay with you.
- How does selling something work? Send a photo. We write the listing and post it locally. A buyer books a meetup with a refundable deposit, sees the item and pays you directly. You keep 100% of the price.
- Which bills does Luca work on first? Your auto insurance renewal and any unpaid medical bill. That's where one request most often brings the price down.
- Can Luca look at bills I already have? Yes, on Gmail. Connect it with one tap and Luca checks your last 90 days, then spots new bills as they arrive. It's read-only, keeps only bills, renewals and receipts, and you can disconnect anytime. On other email, new bills reach Luca through a forwarding filter you set up once.
- Do I have to give Luca access to my inbox? No. If you'd rather not connect Gmail, set up a filter once that forwards only bills, renewals and receipts to Luca. Luca never sees the rest of your inbox. The setup page walks you through it in about two minutes on a laptop, and you can also forward any single bill yourself.
- Do I need to install anything? No. Everything happens by text, and you can reply by email too.
- How much does Luca cost? $19 a month, with no success fee and no cut of what you save. If we don't save you at least $19, you don't pay.
- How do I stop? Text CANCEL, STOP or DELETE. That's it.
